Winter Art

Last week's hailstones and freezing temperatures inspired our art lessons on Thursday and Friday. We made snowflakes out of paper. At first it looked really tricky but we soon got the hang of it and created beautiful snowflakes that are now hanging from the ceiling in our classroom.
We also made lovely pictures of a child catching a snowflake on his/her tongue. We really enjoy art lessons.

Autumn is well and truly here. We used autumnal colours and a cotton bud to recreate the pointillism technique. We gathered leaves from around and used them to make leaf prints using the same colours of red, orange, yellow and brown. We know these colours in Irish too dearg, oráiste, buí agus donn.
