Proclamation Day 2016

We sang a "The Bold Fenian Men" and we were fantastic. We also taught the whole school a lot about the seven signatories of the Proclamation and some of the events of Easter week 1916. Everyone was very impressed with our paintings of the seven signatories and the G.P.O and the G.P.O in flames. Mrs Keane went to a lot of trouble to get us the pictures and we did a brilliant job of painting them. We are full of Irish pride.

Autumn is well and truly here. We used autumnal colours and a cotton bud to recreate the pointillism technique. We gathered leaves from around and used them to make leaf prints using the same colours of red, orange, yellow and brown. We know these colours in Irish too dearg, oráiste, buí agus donn.
