We have been reading a novel called the Hodgeheg, a story about hedgehogs and road safety. Here we are using oil pastels to draw a hedgehog. We sketched our picture first and thoroughly enjoyed working with these materials.
We worked with a partner to paint and decorate fairy doors. When they were dry we chose a fine day to place them in the fairy garden for all of the fairies .
Friendship Week was a great success. We discussed how to be a good friend, listened to songs and made friendship bracelets. We truly are a wonderful group of friends.
Autumn is well and truly here. We used autumnal colours and a cotton bud to recreate the pointillism technique. We gathered leaves from around and used them to make leaf prints using the same colours of red, orange, yellow and brown. We know these colours in Irish too dearg, orΓ‘iste, buΓ agus donn.
