Roald Dahl Day

We had a great time celebrating Roald Dahl. We are reading The BFG in class and we watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. On 13th September (Dahl's birthday) we dressed up as our favourite characters or else we wore his favourite colour, yellow. We played games, searched for golden tickets in the outdoor classroom, ate lots of Dahl's favourite food (chocolate) and had lots and lots of fun.

Autumn is well and truly here. We used autumnal colours and a cotton bud to recreate the pointillism technique. We gathered leaves from around and used them to make leaf prints using the same colours of red, orange, yellow and brown. We know these colours in Irish too dearg, oráiste, buí agus donn.
