A Visit from Dogs Trust
Aoife from Dogs Trust came in for a visit. She reminded us that a dog is a huge responsibility. People who want a dog need to make sure that they have enough time, money and space to care for it.
Aoife also told us:
1. We always need to ask the owner's permission before we pet a dog.
2. If we are petting a dog we should make a safe hand first, let the dog sniff and then pet him
3. Adults should always hold the dog's lead
4. All dogs should be chipped
5. If we are scared when a dog approaches us we should use "The X Factor" (cross your arms in an X over your chest and look up at the sky)
6. Dogs need to be fed and walked twice a day
